Dolmio – The Battle of Dinnertime

We managed to burn though a lot of work here for BBDO, within a pretty tight deadline. With two big VFX shots to achieve in a few days, we decided to get two senior flame artists to work side by side.

Taking the ungraded material home and tracking the shots in PFtrack myself, meant we could get a real head start. I made an accurate geometry of the landscape, meaning that with this we could position at replicated crowds, and intersect them with the ground plane. 

We had a selection of drone and 5D plates shot on location, but had to choose the good actions and design the spread of the crowds in flame.  A relatively modest amount of extras, were converted into a hoard of ravenous marauders. Thank god for spag bol.
